Role Overview:
As a Junior DevOps System Administrator at m-tech1, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems. You will work closely with the DevOps team to support the development and deployment of applications and services. This role provides an excellent opportunity for growth and learning in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure solutions, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and manage applications and services in both on-premises and cloud environments.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of systems.
Conduct regular system backups and implement disaster recovery strategies.
Assist in automating deployment and configuration management processes using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Implement and maintain security best practices to safeguard systems and data.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and assist in debugging issues.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and propose innovative solutions to improve system efficiency and reliability.
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and knowledge sharing.
Provide technical support and guidance to end users and other internal teams.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Solid understanding of system administration concepts and practices.
Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Understanding of networking protocols, security principles, and infrastructure components (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Continuous learning mindset with a passion for staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Availability to travel to customer sites.
Good communication and fluency in English. Nice to have German knowledge.
