Job Description:

m-tech1 is seeking an experienced and highly skilled AWS Architect to join our dynamic team. As an AWS Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our customers cloud solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful setup and operation of scalable AWS cloud native solutions. Responsibilities:

• Design and architect the overall AWS infrastructure solution for the Customer Data Platform (CDP), ensuring it aligns with business requirements, scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.

• Implement and manage AWS infrastructure components, including Landing Zone, EC2 instances, VPCs, security groups, load balancers, and other relevant services for the CDP.

• Deploy and configure the CDP components on AWS, using tools like Ansible or Puppet for automation.

• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, collaborating with DevOps engineers and application teams as needed

• Monitor system performance and capacity, making recommendations for optimization.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of infrastructure as code (IaC) templates.

• Stay up-to-date with AWS services and technologies, and recommend improvements to the infrastructure.

• Deep understanding of AWS services relevant to data platforms, including EC2, S3, RDS, EMR, Redshift, and Glue.

• Experience with data engineering and data warehousing concepts.

• Proficiency in designing scalable and fault-tolerant architectures.

• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to create and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) templates using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

• Oversee the implementation of AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and others, to support the CDP's data ingestion, processing, and storage needs.

• Develop and maintain documentation for the infrastructure architecture, including diagrams, deployment procedures, and best practices.

• Ensure compliance with AWS security best practices and industry standards, including data privacy and protection regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of proven experience as an AWS Architect or a similar role.

• Already resident in EU

• Strong experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.

• Proficiency in configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

• Hands-on experience with IaC languages.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as AWS Pipeline, GitLab-ci or GitHub Actions.

• Deep understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and system administration.

• Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Availability to travel to customer sites

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a proactive and self-driven approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Architect or similar.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog or Splunk.

• Knowledge of database management systems (SQL and/or NoSQL).

• Good communication and fluency in English (C1). Nice to have German knowledge above B2.
